I first wanted to thank you for being so helpful and patient during this entire process. We LOVED our trip. Kurt and I both said over and over that thank god we came and did not cancel the trip. There was some bad press in the US about all the concerns we voiced but none of those things occurred during our trip such as, lack of food lol, lack of water, crime, power outages, very dangerous driving conditions ect… I am going to do my best to get the word out to my friends and family what a fantastic vacation destination it is.

Kurt and I travel a lot and we both think it is our favorite trip, just like the couple from Canada. I would be happy to talk to anyone if you need me to. Everything was perfect. I would not have changed a thing, except for the weather for a few days lol. But we found other things to do when our outings were cancelled.

Each place we stayed made us feel so special, thanks for all the gifts, the sweets, wine and champagne.

Car rental: Perfect great size car very easy topick up and drop off at the airport.

Cape Milner Hotel. Perfect. nice location, great breakfast. Secure parking

The Ivy Apartment, Perfect, it was great to be able to do aload of laundry. The hotel gave me detergent and let me use their dryer which was very nice. Secure parking loved that we could walk in town. They let us check in early before our wine tour. Very nice manager!!

Banhoek Lodge, OMG they upgraded us, the most beautiful view I have seen from a hotel. Loved the staff and the breakfast. They let us check in very early, helped us with the walking in the vineyards, and had a great breakfast.

Hermanus Beachfront Lodge beautiful view, we were the only people there. Staff was wonderful and great breakfast.

Turbine Hotel, such a cool fun hotel, got a massage. It was wonderful. The best breakfast, they brought out a tower like you get for tea and if you had room, you could still order a hot breakfast. Loved the location and the town. Great places to eat around the hotel. Very nice staff.

Kariega Game Reserve: OMG, the place was perfect, the staff was great!!!. Food is wonderful. Service was great. One night we were there with only 1 other family, we had the whole lodge to ourselves. I wish I would have stayed another full day. Animal viewing was wonderful, Ben was our guide and he was fantastic.

I loved so many parts of the trip. Here are our favorites, table mountain, drive along the tip, tea at hotel Nelson, the foodie tour was fantastic, we had Pam the owner would highly recommend it to your guests, and loved wine tasting and he was also a fantastic guide. Loved the entire wine area that is a must for a visitor. We did not have great weather on the drive along the garden route so it was hard to know just how beautiful it is. The cliff walk around Hermanus was great. I loved the little town with great places to eat. We paid extra to do the walk with the elephants in Knysna, well worth it. We enjoyed the boat ride around the heads. Safari was our favorite part!!

We did not need the meet and greet at the airport we had several hours to waste. The airport was really quiet with no lines but better safe than sorry. The time of year we went, the weather was wonderful for most Americans that are used to hard winters. The weather was fine. Just a bit of rain, but no crowds which I love. The driving was a bit scary. My husband did great because he grew up in England driving on that side of the road, I don’t know how people who haven’t could drive there. The road conditions were fantastic, the only thing that was so strange to us was people walking on the highways and the van’s just stopping everywhere picking people up.

I was not concerned about crime or our safety at all!

We want to return maybe at the same time next year. I would love to go to another safari, maybe at Kruger and see Victoria falls and see the other side of the country. We may bring our daughters this time. If you have any suggestions please send them to me. I love the planning process.

Thanks again, You were wonderful and you planned a great holiday for us.

Wishing you all the best,

Debbie
