A great way to get the family ready for a lifetime of memories is to start with a safari. Learn about the wonderful creatures, from the small insects or bugs to the Big Five.

After a few nights under the African Sky, head to Cape Town. Here you can explore the views with a microlite flight over the city, or hang glide from Lion’s Head Mountain Range, next to Table Mountain. If this is a little to on the adventurous side, take the cable car up Table Mountain and enjoy the breathtaking 360 degree views. Sandboarding, surfing, standup paddleboarding, abseiling, rock climbing, fishing, golf, river rafting, horseriding, hot air ballooning is just a few of the many adventurous offerings Cape Town has to offer.

Mom and daughter can of course also explore the wonderful day spas….nothing wrong with a little bit of pampering.

After a few days of fun, travel up the coast on the famous Garden Route and end up in the quaint town of Knysna. En route, a shark cage diving experience is a must, followed by bungee jumping off the highest commercial bungee jumping bridge in the world, or surfing at the surfing hotspot in Jeffreys Bay. Once in Knysna, sail through the Knysna heads or zipline across the Tsitsikamma Rainforest – another fun and adventurous activity.
