Victoria Falls – We loved Insika Lodge. The rooms were lovely, the green space of the lodge and the staff was very friendly. The dinner cruise was a great way to start the trip. Saw a few animals along the way. Devils Pool was definitely an experience that we all enjoyed despite our fear. We enjoyed seeing the Falls from the Zimbabwe side as well.

Maputo – We appreciated location of Southern Sun right on the water and proximity to everything. The rooms are a little out of date and has a slight odor probably due to moisture from being a beach front property. We also had a tour of the US Embassy from one of contacts so that was exciting. The city tour was also good as well.

Mauritius – Everyone loved the Le Meridien. They loved the rooms and impressed by the offerings and the staff were extremely nice. We had an incident just so you are aware of. A few of us rented bikes at the hotel and went for a ride nearby. One of the bikes malfunctioned which affected the rotation of the back wheel and led to Tinia to take a tumble which led to some nasty bruises. We were able to contact the staff at the hotel and they sent someone to pick her up and took her to the medical facility at the hotel where she was evaluated and dressed her wounds. Shes in good spirits and was able to enjoy the last days despite the situation.

The Meet and greet from Maputo to catch our flight to Mauritius was definitely necessary. It helped a lot. We got to the gate right as they started boarding.
