We have just returned today and we cannot thank you enough for all your help in planning this once in a lifetime vacation!

Moremi and Botswana – hands down this was the better of the two safaris based the number of animals we saw. We had a guide named Baba who was exceptionally good. He was a guide, driver and tracker all rolled into one and had tons of knowledge and experience. It felt like a “camp” like experience but in a good way. We also thoroughly enjoyed the boat game drive in Moremi. The tents were spacious and lovely. Maybe some type of heat source in the tent would have been nice to have as the mornings were quite cold.
Ilala Lodge in Zimbabwe was beautiful. Location was perfect. The Victoria Falls Guide was informative and although our stay was very short, we got what we were looking for.
Simbavati Lodge in South Africa – Our accommodations were outstanding. Great Wifi in tents, clean and modern bathrooms and and heating and AC in the tents made us very happy. They even had an electric mattress warmer which made all the difference! Seeing animals right outside our door was incredible as well. We saw everything from elephants to giraffes to hyenas to warthogs and more – directly from our tents. However, the game drives were not as exciting as the Botswana drives. We often drove for quite sometime without seeing animals. They were a bit quieter than the Moremi drives.
Moremi took us out about 8 hours per day and Simbavati took us out about 6 hours per day. We thought the break in the middle of the day (9 to 3:30) was a bit too long.
We also felt that the Simbavati area was more limited because our driver could not enter other private reserves.
The staff at both safari lodges were wonderful. They were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and more!
The extra touches to remember Kayla’s birthday at all three locations were greatly appreciated!
With my dairy free restrictions, both lodges went out of their way to meet my dietary needs. Our butler, Ralph, at Simbavati was exceptional.
All transfers were seamless and better than expected!
