A Day of Outstanding Game Viewing in the Chobe National Park…

The start of your Chobe Day Trip

First safari of the day starts around 7.50am and includes a 3-hour boat cruise along the Chobe River. This section of river is famous for its huge herds of elephant which can be viewed up-close and safely from the boat. Hippos, crocodiles and an abundance of birdlife is thrilling to see and experience. What a fantastic way to spend the morning.

Halfway Through a Chobe Day Trip

After lunch it is time for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park, where once again you have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of wildlife as you explore the Chobe Riverfront by open safari vehicle. Large herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game, along with their accompanying predators have made this their home. It’s very rare for this not to be a truly unforgettable game viewing experience.

Sadly the day is now drawing to an end and it’s time to head home before dark. You will be transferred back to your hotel in either Livingstone or Victoria Falls arriving there at about 6.30pm.

Chobe National Park

Famous for its phenomenal wildlife – Chobe is the third largest park in Botswana encompassing swamps, floodplains and woodlands.

The Chobe National Park established in 1968 covers 11700 square kilometres and situated in the northern most part of Botswana. Encompassing swamps, floodplains and woodlands it is the third largest Park or Reserve in the country after Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and the largest of them all the Central Kalahari Game reserve.

The Chobe River, which is without doubt one of Africa’s most beautiful rivers, forms its northern boundary and in the extreme south-west it borders the Moremi Game Reserve. The park is famous for its wildlife and supports a diversity and concentration unlike anywhere else in Botswana.
