I can hardly put into words what a spectacular time we had. Truly the most amazing experience. We cannot thank you enough for planning the perfect trip.
The accommodations were so beautiful. We loved the location of the Queen Victoria Hotel and that we could easily walk over the waterfront and experience all the wonderful restaurants and shopping. Our tour guide in Cape Town was amazing. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and provided great information regarding South African culture and the region’s history. We loved the excursions around Cape Town and that we got to experience so much in just one day. Our day spent exploring the Cape of Good Hope, Simons Town, and the wine region was incredible. The transportation was excellent, which allowed us to relax and be present.
While we loved every minute of the trip, our time at Camp George was by far the most memorable. The lodge is beautiful and the accommodations are spectacular. Our tour guide truly made our time there so special as he provided us with so much information about the region and the animals. We had so much fun on our game drives and definitely learned a lot. We were able to see the Big 5, while also gaining a deeper appreciation for all the wildlife on the reserve. The staff at Camp George were some of the kindest people we have ever met. We felt so welcomed and everyone really went out of their way to make our time there pleasant and memorable. The food was incredible and we looked forward to every meal. We particularly liked the evening when the entire camp came together for a shared meal around the fire.
The Palm River hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The honeymoon suite was incredible and we were definitely sad to leave. We loved the massive outdoor seating area and made sure to spend our evenings enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Our day in Victoria Falls was packed but we enjoyed every minute. The shared transportation made it easy to get from location to location and we loved that everything was prearranged so we did not have to worry about timing and getting from place to place. We had some time in the afternoon and Wild Horizons was able to schedule us on a helicopter ride over the falls, which ended up being our favorite part of the day. We also loved the elephant encounter, hike around the falls, and zip lining. We ended our trip with a sunset dinner cruise. The food was incredible and it was the perfect end to the trip. We loved getting to eat dinner on the water and watch the sunset.
