It’s been a whirlwind since we’ve got back from Africa and we already miss it so much!
As for our experience, it was absolutely incredible! Everything you planned for us was perfect – each hotel was beautiful with incredible views, the staff and service was excellent and the tours we went on were so fun! John was literally the best – we were so happy we got to spend a few days with him on the Peninsula tour and Winelands Tour. We loved all his recommendations for wineries, so much so that we have a few cases of wine from various wineries being delivered from Africa soon 🙂
Kensington Place – the staff there was absolutely amazing and very accommodating. We loved Hope’s recommendation for dinner and the view from our room was unreal. Seeing table mountain and lion’s head out our window every morning was beautiful. We loved how centrally located the hotel was, too – we were able to walk along Kloof street and we were quick drives away from all our experiences. The boutique feeling of this hotel was so cozy – we loved sitting by the fireplace after arriving home from dinner and just feeling very relaxed.
Hermanus – while it was a quick stop, we were able to enjoy the town with shopping and dinner at the Wine Glass (where we tasted wines from the Hermanus region). We loved looking out onto the Ocean from One Marine.
Franschhoek – this was definitely a top spot for us! We loved every winery we attended, and special thanks to John for picking terrific places. The grounds at Le Quartier Francais were beautiful and the room we stayed in was lovely.
N’gala – this was truly the highlight of our trip, best few days we could have ever experienced!! We saw several wildlife, including a pride of lions, baby elephants and tracked a cheetah at sunset. We cannot say enough nice things about the staff – MK was the best butler (he even provided us with a private dinner for our last night), Ruel and Sully were a fabulous team to track with, and Dennis was available for any questions we had. The food was outstanding and the tented camp property was literally perfect. We enjoyed our time laying by the pool and getting massages.
Royal Livingstone – this property was absolutely beautiful – we had many encounters with zebras, giraffes and impala on site! The views out to the Zambezi river were stunning, and we loved the safari sunset tour and elephant encounter. The Victoria Falls were breathtaking – such a cool experience walking through on the Zambia side!
All the transfers we took were on time, safe and the drivers were so nice. Personally, having the transfers taken care of was the most appreciated process for us – we didn’t have to worry to find cabs or cars while we were there. It made our experience that much more enjoyable, so thank you.
And thank you again so much for revising our flights – Zambia was such a beautiful place to visit and we’re so glad we were able to make it.
We cannot thank you enough for planning a once in a lifetime trip, and it was certainly worth the wait! We loved every minute of it and we are so grateful for your attention to detail, wonderful recommendations and exceptional customer service. We cannot wait to come back to explore more of Africa in the future!
