We had an incredible and memorable time in South Africa and Mozambique!
We really loved Camps Bay Retreat and were happy that we chose that as our Cape Town stay. The view of ocean from above was great and the sunsets were perfection. We also really loved the Cape Peninsula tour. We saw so much that day and also our day. And also loved out trip to Hermanus and whale watching.
Macaron Boutique Guest House was perfect for our stay in Franschoek. I liked the location because it was just off the main road but walkable to everything. And the room was very large and nice.
Simbavati was truly amazing. the lodge itself was incredible, the staff was so so great. I’m not sure how it can get better than that. We were extremely sad to leave and wish we had more days there. The wildlife sightings were great too! We saw all the big 5 except the rhino, even though they did try to find one for us on our last morning drive. We saw lion cubs playing, a large male lion, hyenas, jaguar and cub, many elephants (even at the watering hole right at the lodge). We also were part of this large herd of water buffalo in our vehicle so that was a very cool experience. Also the food at Simbavati was very good, it felt like fine dining every day/night.
Azura was exceptional too. The staff and resort were amazing and our excursions were great. The food at Azura was 10/10 as well. We even saw a dugong. (&Beyond Azura Benguerra Island, Mozambique)
Thank you so much for coordinating everything for us. We definitely will be back in Africa and will reach out in the future for assistance with our planning!
Best,
Stephanie Buran
