We had an amazing and very memorable honeymoon! It is honestly hard to put into words just how fantastic the whole experience was- we have been telling all our friends and family that it truly was a oncein a lifetime type of experience!
Brian and I can not thank you enough for everything you did for us – you made planning our honeymoon such a pleasure and we credit you with the amazing time we had. All of your suggestions, tips, and planning made this experience great for us- you stayed on top of everything, your quick responses, and follow up was greatly appreciated.
The Bay Hotel is Cape Town was wonderful- the staff was so friendly and accomodating, the hotel and our room was beautiful, the view from our hotel balcony was amazing, and we had breakfast in our hotel several times and the food was delicious. We can not say enough great things about our guide, Jamie. He was fantastic, very friendly, and so knowledgeable. We were worried we would have cut some things out of our itinerary due to our delay in arriving, and he made sure we got to do and see everything we wanted to. We especially enjoyed the wineries he suggested and we got to see- Eikehof Winery was wonderful and we greatly enjoyed the wine tasting! Table Top Mountain, the Botanical Gardens, and Cape Point were all beautiful and wonderful to see and experience. We loved seeing the penguin colony and the wildlife in Cape Point Nature Reserve. We also had time to enjoy the Aquarium and shops at V&A waterfront. We enjoyed dinner at the City Grille at the V&A waterfront and Lobster and Burger, while we were in Cape Town, and both were delicious!
The Harbour House hotel in Hermanus was fantastic- the staff was wonderful and our room was beautiful! We both really enjoyed our experience with White Shark Project- Brian got into that cage and saw up to 8 Bronze Whalers sharks and I enjoyed the view from the second level deck on the boat. It was amazing to see these animals and the staff with White Shark Project was fantastic- very knowledgeable and friendly! We would highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling to the area! While in Hermanus we dined at Chard and Burgundy- both of which were delicious!
It is so hard to put into words just how wonderful our stay at Savanna Safari Lodge was- the staff was above and beyond anything we could have imagined, they were so friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and made us feel so welcome. We both felt like part of the Savanna family by the time we left and are already planning another trip for our 5 year anniversary. The accommodations, service, food, and staff were honestly the best we have ever had! Staff genuinely got to know us and were constantly checking in to ensure our experience was the best! And the sightings were beyond amazing- we saw all the big 5 and were able to get so close to these amazing animals. Our guide Aiden and tracker Lawrence were the very best and made sure we had some incredible sightings and a wonderful time. Neil and Natasha, the managers at Savanna, checked in on us several times and were genuinely interested in our experience.
Travelling during COVID did pose some new things to consider, but you did an amazing job in helping us navigate these waters and we greatly appreciate your help and support during this process. There were some additional forms and things we had to do with our flight to and from Amsterdam that we had not considered prior to our travels- but with both of us being vaccinated helped the process.
